Background of the Chairman

Ender YORGANCILAR was born in İzmir in 1957 and graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Marketing.  He has a good command of English. 

He is a businessman and the President of İZELTAŞ which is the first and the biggest hand tool producer in Turkey. The company took the road with this belief exactly 50 years ago in İzmir, a gem of Aegean. Established with 100% Turkish capital and growing day by day and has been making contribution not only to the community but also to the country's economy by performing exportation to around 40 countries with more than 4 thousand and five hundred items being produced at the huge facilities equipped with state-of-art technologies.  

Mr. Yorgancılar, who is also the Consul General of the Philippines, was awarded the State Order of Merit and Loyalty in his 15th year in office.

He has been a Member of the Assembly of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) since 1994 and served as Member of the Executive Board for six years, then served as the President of Assembly between 2005-2008 and he has been President of the Executive Board since 2009. 

After a long time in the history of EBSO, Mr. Yorgancılar, who renewed confidence by participating the elections for the 2013-2018 and 2018-2022 periods consecutively, without any competition, with a single list, and was re-elected in the 2022-2026 period election by receiving the support of industrialists and renewed his tenure as Chairman of the Board. He served as a Member of the Executive Board of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) between May 2009 and July 2013 and was re-elected for TOBB’s Executive Board as the Vice President at the Chamber’s 69th General Assembly Meeting for 2013-2018 period. Notably, Mr.Yorgancilar is the first and only President of EBSO that has been designated to the Board of TOBB for two consecutive terms. 

In the following period, he continued to work actively in TOBB as Consultant to the President of TOBB and A member of the General Administrative Board of TOBB, Chairman of the Board of Directors of various affiliates of the Union such as TOBTİM International Trade Centers Inc., MEYBEM Inc., Global Standards Supply Chain and Logistics Training Foundation of Turkey (GS1 Turkey Foundation), and also continued to work as Co-Chairman of the Trade Working Group of the Turkey-Germany Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO).

On May 31, 2023, as a result of the 79th General Assembly of TOBB held on May 31, 2023, he was re-elected to the Board of Directors and appointed as Vice Chairman for the second time.

He strongly believes that, making concrete contributions to the city and the country he was born and raised in, is the best way of faithfully fulfilling his responsibility. For this reason, he has been serving as the Vice President or Member of the Executive Board, General Assembly / the Board of Trustees of many civil society organization, institutions, organizations and universities. 

Yorgancılar who takes a leading part in solving several problems that the industrialists have been facing with his result-oriented sense of work has been deservedly awarded by many institutions and organization as a result of his achievements. 

Yorgancılar is married, has a son and a grandson.
